I'm curious to know what some of your house rules are?

The one we use is draw 3 tiles at the start and keep a hand of 3 tiles. We usually play with 6 or 7 people, so it makes it easier to plan ahead and (hopefully) speed up the turns. Makes it fun when we've all been drinking too.

Haha, ... , I think your house rule is very clever!
We have a house habit that we always play with abbot and phantom and big meeple whatever the expansion. If we play with C1 (without gardens) well, then the abbot has no gardens but with everything else he can act like an abbot ....

I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate the abbot into C1, think I'll use your idea.

If you really want gardens, you can make your own tiles. The abbot expansion has been converted into C1 by the fans....
