CarcF - English area
Maik (maik63de) - Admin here at CarcF has created a separate forum for the English speaking world.
Especially for the members at CarcC and CarcF.
This forum is open, that means all the people can look at it.
The members at CarcF can also post there in English if they like - no problem.
We have also a hidden forum here for the CarcC-BigOnes.
At the moment there is not much information, because I will transfer some of the postings from the German side to the English side - but that need some time.
We have here following open forums:
News:
- CarcC News
- CarcF News
- CarcL News
General:
- Introduction
- Links to CarcF workshop area & download area
- Rules questions

Re: CarcF - English area
I've just joined CarcF.
My written German is none existent, but can read some especially with the help of the translators.
Do people prefer posts in English to be just in this area or are posts in English accepted in all of CarcF?
Andy

Hi Andy,
I welcome you here at CarcF. You may write anywhere in the forum in English. Almost everyone can speak English more or less well here.

Re: CarcF - English area
Thanks all for your welcome - I am gradually getting into Google Translate as I gradually read the posts.
Hopefully one day I will get to the point where I can access the Downloads area.

Re: CarcF - English area
Good to know I can post in English in other areas besides the "English area". That was not yet clear.
I can read German no problem, but writing in German is a bit hard (and hard to read for the native German speakers)

Re: CarcF - English area
Hello, I am also new here. I as well do not know German. I can read some, but I will have to type in English. Happy to know that is considered acceptable. I am also on CarcC, and found this place through a thread on there.
Re: CarcF - English area
New to CarcF. Thanks for the English area because I can not read German, but the google translator helps out.

Re: CarcF - English area
Hi there!
Welcome to CarcF! Hope you enjoy all the wisdom and stuff on this forum.
If you use Chrome, the browser will allow you (normally) translate the page into English on the fly.
Another valuable tool is deepl.com. You may create a glossary for those terms that are mistranslated by default due to the lack of context. For example, Zug --> Turn (instead of train), Gefolgsmann --> Follower (instead of hechman) and so on...
Cheers!
