Gold Rausch - nugget tokens

If you play Gold Rush with some of the fan expansions, did you make additional gold nugget tokens?

The game has 63 tokens, and there are 55 nuggets spread across the tiles (if I counted correctly). Some of the fan expansions have 10 or more additional nuggets on the tiles, which means needing more than 63.

No, but I'm thinking about it. It's about what proportion they should be in so that the game is equally balanced.

- So far, we solve the lack of chips in the game so that when the chips run out, each player returns, for example, 6 chips to the supply. Before these chips return, of course, their value is counted in the player's score

Good suggestion, as they would be scored in this way at the end of the game anyway. I'm working on something for GoldRush that has a number of mountain areas with nugget symbols, and wanted to add something to the rules as an advisory note. This is probably better than creating additional tokens.

It's good that you wait until the tokens run out as that means that all are used and you don't have a situation where, for example, the ones with crushed rock never come into play.

This sounds better than creating extra tokens, since "Extra Tiles" needs 38, and "Water Pipes" 23, so a second complete set of 63 might be required.

How do you decide which tokens are returned, since as a player you could hold onto the higher scoring ones, and return the 0 or 1? Could you have the player to your left (or right) select the tokens?

1) Each player has chips turned upside down. And they are chosen at random.

2) They are then turned over and the value of the nuggets is credited to the appropriate player on the point counter.

3) They are then returned to stock.

4) When this happens to all players, the chips are shuffled and ready for the next game.

Note:
It wouldn't be bad to create another set of chips, but I would be in favor of clear identification! For example, a white dot on the reverse side to differentiate chips if you only want to play the base game.

Make it a general rule for the use of all fanexpansions of Goldrush.

Great suggestion. Helps doing this way then trying to find or make more tokens.
